Cuban Music School, Havana

Every February since 2001 we have managed a residential Cuban Music School based in the heart of Old Havana, and this year will be no exception. The school is based in a former convent just 2 streets away from Plaza Vieja and within easy walking distance of the other main squares in the historic centre of the city. The course offers a unique opportunity for musicians and singers to spend their days learning and rehearsing with professional Cuban musicians and tutors, with evenings dedicated to visiting live music venues in Havana. The final day concert sees every student on the course playing alongside their Cuban tutors and other local musicians, and it is not unusual for some famous Cuban artistes to come along and join in! Musicians and singers of all ages and levels of ability are welcome.
