Learn French in Biarritz, France
Famous since the 19th century as a highly fashionable seaside resort, Biarritz is still noted for its elegant architecture, prestigious casinos and palaces as well as its extensive beaches. Today, Biarritz offers a friendly, vibrant location to study French, explore the traditional province of the French Basque Country and take advantage of the excellent surf offered in the Bay of Biscay. With only 30,000 inhabitants in winter and 120,000 in summer, Biarritz is easy to reach by land and air, and is also close to the Pyrenees Mountains and just 25km from the Spanish border.
Our school is located 20 minutes' walk from Biarritz town centre, with easy access to the train station and airport. It is a modern and spacious building with 15 bright, air-conditioned classrooms, internet access and self-study facilities.
Courses are available from May to September for a variety of ages and levels. Course fees include a placement test, course materials and certificate. Please click on one of the options below for more details:
Cultural activities and excursions are offered to compliment the language learning experience and to help students discover the region e.g. welcoming coffee morning, introductory city tour, museum visits, cultural excursions to Bayonne and Saint Jean de Luz, French film screenings and opportunities to play outdoor sports. Many of these activities are free or have a small charge payable at the school.
Accommodation is available in local homestays from May to September.
Transfers: airport arrival transfer is provided by the homestay host, if confirmed at time of booking. Travel details must be confirmed at least 15 days prior to arrival.
School Closure: 1/8/17/28 May and 15 Aug 2012. The school will be closed on these public holidays and no classes will be held. Only individual lessons will be rescheduled. The school does not operate from 1 Jan-29 Apr and from 29 Sept-31 Dec 2012.

Teen French + Surfing Programme, 15-17 years, in Biarritz
This summer programme is especially designed for teenagers who would like an active and sociable experience whilst studying French. French lessons take place at the summer camp in Anglet, located 25 minutes by bus from Biarritz city centre, in beautiful grounds surrounded by trees. Biarritz is known as the surfing capital of Europe, offering some great waves for all abilities, on beautiful beaches. All surfing equipment is hired on location and is included in the course fees. Outdoor sports (football, beach volleyball, etc) and social activities (quiz, arts and crafts, photo competition, etc) are also part of the programme, in order to encourage students to practise French together. There is also a half-day excursion on Wednesday afternoon, to Bayonne or St Jean de Luz.

French + Surfing in Biarritz
Biarritz is the surfing capital of Europe, living and breathing the surf culture: the ideal place to study French and catch some great waves, with lessons given by certified instructors. All surfing equipment is hired on location and is included in the course fees. This course runs through the months of June, July and August. The beach is 20 minutes by bus from the school. On the first day, the instructor collects students from the school and the following days, students make their own way to the beach by bus.
