Teen French in Antibes, France

We are delighted to include Antibes as a destination for teen French courses for ages 14-17 years. 

Our school offers a holiday course rather than a holiday with lessons attached. Students combine exercises such as conversation, expression and role-play with a varied programme of excursions and activities geared to this age group. Students experience a dynamic approach to learning about France and the French as well as immersion in the language before, after and during classes.

Tuition 20 group lessons per week. Each lesson is 45 minutes. Maximum 15 students per class. No lessons held on public holidays nor on the Monday of arrival.

Antibes is situated at the heart of the Côte d'Azur, between Nice and Cannes and is a particularly welcoming destination for young people. Lively markets, busy narrow streets and sun drenched beaches bring real charm to this home of traditional Mediterranean life.

Public holidays: The school will be closed on the 5 April and 14 July and no classes will be held on these days.

Accommodation

Homestay accommodation is ideal for those interested in total immersion in French culture.   Students will live in a comfortable home and often share in the everyday life of their hosts.   The host family will meet students on arrival at the railway station or the airport, and take them back there on departure.  Single or twin rooms are available (single supplement £120 per week).  For twin rooms, we will do our best to match students of around the same age who do not speak the same native language.  Some host families are based near the school, but some are a bus trip away (maximum 30-minute trip). One night per week (after the barbecue or "crêpes party") a coach brings students back to a meeting point near the host family's home.

School residence accommodation is perfect for those who wish to have a little bit more independence and want to live with a mix of students from all over the world. The school's residential accommodation has an enriching and stimulating club-like atmosphere.  Students will live in shared rooms with bathrooms for 3-4 students. Single or twin rooms are available on request (supplement applies). A representative of the school will meet students on arrival at the railway station or the airport, and take them back there on departure.  All meals are taken on campus with the exception of weekend excursions and one or more members of the school staff is permanently in residence.

Activities and Excursions 

The programme may include sailing, a barbeque evening, disco, half day cultural excursions, sports activities, themed activities, shows, games and a full day excursion to a nautical theme park.  For those staying on campus or who do not have parental permission to go out unaccompanied in the evenings, an evening programme with games and entertainment is organised.

2010 Dates and Prices 

Students can join the course on any of the following dates. Accommodation is full board and runs from Sunday to Saturday.  

The above prices apply to shared room accommodation in homestay or the school's residence. Single room accommodation is available in homestay only and a single supplement of £115 per week applies.
