French in Rouen, France

Rouen is the principal city of the Seine-Maritime. Like in Paris, the islands in the middle of the Seine were inhabited in Roman times and the town gradually spread out onto the banks. Rouen is well known in the fields of art and history due to its influence of the impressionistic period of which Claude Monet was the father, and for the tale of Joan of Arc. Today Rouen is a thriving commercial centre which has managed to preserve complete harmony with its rich past.  So whether you enjoy the sights, the monuments, art or history there is plenty to do and see in Rouen and in the picturesque countryside of the Normandy region and coast.

Our award winning school lies in heart of Rouen, close to the southern bank of the River Seine and 5 minutes walk from bustling pedestrian zone with café's, restaurants, bakeries and a busy shopping centre. The school is located in a modern building with its own car park and courtyard; it has 12 classrooms, a resource centre with computers for free internet access, a small multimedia library and WiFi access throughout. A public library, swimming pool and sports centre are located nearby.

  • Minimum age is 16 years
  • Classes have a maximum of 8 students, or 10 for afternoon seminars.
  • Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.
