Learn Italian in Rome, Italy

Rome is located in central Italy and is not only the capital of the country but also the most populated city, with approximately 3.5 million inhabitants.  Once capital of the Roman Empire, it is not only home to one of the most ancient civilizations which formed the roots of many modern day cultures; it is also the seat of the Papacy.  Today, Rome oozes history, culture, art and beauty, combining historical monuments, palaces and museums, recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with a modern, lively atmosphere, offering entertainment for all tastes.

Our school is conveniently situated in the centre of Rome, well connected by public transport to every area of the city and only a short walk from the central train station.  There are 10 classrooms in the main building, as well as internet and Wi-Fi access, facilities to watch DVDs, a TV room, snack room, theatre stage and projection room.

Courses are available all year round for a variety of ages and levels.  Please note that course books are not included in the fees; these can be paid for directly at the school.  Please click on one of the options below for more details:

Additional Courses are available for those who have specific interests and wish to pursue them at the same time as improving their language skills. Please contact us for details of these courses.

  • Italian through Theatre
  • Italian though Singing
  • Italian through Film-making
  • Italian through Design/Fashion

Cultural activities and excursions are offered throughout the year, through a weekly programme.  Certain activities are free of charge, such as: film screenings (fiction + documentary), plays, bilingual workshops, parties, debates and seminars (on Italian gastronomy, cinema, literature, towns + regions, history and art). Other activities are organised at the weekends and are reasonably priced and paid for directly at the school: guided tours of the city and coach excursions.

Accommodation is available in homestays and shared apartments, all year round.

Transfers: one way transfers are available to/from Rome Airport £95 or train station £70.

School Closure: 6 Jan, 9/25 Apr, 1 May, 29 Jun, 15 Aug and 1 Nov 2012.  The school will be closed on these public holidays and no classes will be held.  Only private lessons will be rescheduled.  The school will also close on 22 Dec 2012 for the festive period and re-open on 6 Jan 2013.
