Portuguese in Lisbon / Faro
Our sister schools in the exciting cities of Lisbon and Faro have been offering high quality Portuguese courses for over 30 years. Portugal has more to show than many countries ten times its size - some of Europe's best beaches, a range of Roman ruins, medieval walled towns, terraced vineyards, country festivals, rugged mountain landscapes and quaint fishing villages... and all relatively unspoiled by mass tourism. Portuguese is the third most widely spoken European language in the world after English and Spanish, and is an important language on all five continents.
Our school in Lisbon is located near the picturesque Eduard VII Park in an area of town which is both residential and commercial. There are 3 school buildings with a total of 20 classrooms, all within easy walking distance of each other.
Our school in Faro has 8 well equipped classrooms and is located in the heart of the city. Faro is probably best known for its location on the Algarve coast. The city has extensive and impressive beaches, water sports facilities and golf courses.
Courses are available all year round for a variety of ages and levels:

Cultural activities and excursions: a free monthly calendar of social and cultural activities is arranged to help students discover and explore the city and the local area.
Accommodation is available in local homestays.
Transfers: airport transfers from either Lisbon or Faro airports can be arranged in advance. £50 for one person or £55 for two people one way.
Public holidays: the school will be closed on 1 Jan, 16 Feb, 2 Apr, 3/10 Jun, 7 Sep (Faro only), 5 Oct, 1 Nov, 1/8 Dec 2010 and no classes will be held on these days.
General and Combination Portuguese Courses
A variety of Portuguese courses are available with group and private lessons. Maximum of 8 students per class.
Start dates for complete beginners: 4 Jan, 1 Feb, 1 Mar, 5 Apr, 3/31 May, 5 Jul, 2/30 Aug, 27 Sep, 25 Oct, 22 Nov 2010.
All other levels can start a course on any Monday

Easter, Summer & Christmas Courses
These courses are aimed at students wishing to combine language studies with a holiday in Portugal.
£450 (excl. accommodation)
- Course duration: 2 weeks
- Portuguese lessons per week: 15 group
- Group size: maximum 12 students
- Level: suitable for those who are at beginner or intermediate level.
Courses start on 29 March (Easter course), 28 June (Summer course), 20 December (Christmas course) 2010.

Brazilian / African Portuguese Lessons
Brazilian / African Portuguese lessons can be taken as a supplement to General Portuguese lessons or can be taken as a course of private tuition. Each individual lesson is 50 minutes and costs £35. These lessons are offered in Lisbon only.

Portuguese + Surfing NEW!
This new course combines Portuguese lessons wtih surfing tuition provided by professionally trained instructors. Lisbon beaches offer high quality surfing for all levels of ability. All equipment is provided and transport included. Suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced.
