Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in South America and one of the largest.  Situated on the vast Rio de la Plata, it takes its name from the fair winds that brought ships into this important port, hence the colloquial name for the locals, ‘porteños' (people of the port).  Buenos Aires is a bustling, vibrant city with impressive European style architecture and diverse barrios with distinctive identities such as colourful la Boca, and bohemian San Telmo.  A city that never sleeps, Buenos Aires offers an active nightlife, as well as abundant cafes, restaurants and theatres.  Tango is an essential part of the Buenos Aires culture and dance schools and milonga evenings are plentiful.

We offer courses at two schools in Buenos Aires.  Click on one of the options below for more information:

• Spanish Language School
  This school offers group and individual courses, as well as supplementary Tango lessons. This option is perfect for those who wish to focus on Spanish and perhaps have a taste of Tango on the side.
• Spanish and Tango School
  This school offers courses specifically for people interested in learning Tango. Spanish classes will cover the vocabulary of Tango, the language of the ‘milonga', and the teachers themselves are Tango dancers.

Buenos Aires: SPANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Our Spanish Language School is located in one of the city's smartest neighbourhoods, Recoleta, close to many cafes, bars, restaurants, parks, museums, cinemas and shops.  Just minutes away from buses and the underground, it is also easy to reach.  Our school is housed in a typical porteño style building, with marble stairs, mosaic floors, a terrace and several balconies.  It has 18 classrooms and common areas with free refreshments for students to socialise during breaks, as well as free internet and Wi-Fi access.

Courses are available all year round for a variety of ages and levels.  Please click on one of the options below for more details:

Cultural activities and excursions are offered on a weekly basis, to help students discover the city and the local culture, including a city tour on the first day and on the last day, a farewell lunch or party.  Other activities/excursions during the week include: a taste of Tango or Salsa, football, cooking lessons, film nights, conversation club, visits to museums and the theatre.  Weekend excursions are also organised and can be paid for at the school.

Accommodation is available in homestays and shared apartments, all year round. 

Transfers: one way transfers are available to/from Buenos Aires International Ezeiza Airport or the Retiro Bus Terminal £XX.  For those arriving at the domestic airport, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, there will be a reduction in price.

School Closure: 1 Jan, 20*/21 Feb, 24 Mar, 2/5*/6/24* Apr, 1/25 May, 20 Jun, 9 Jul, 20 Aug, 8 Oct, 26* Nov and 8/24*/25 Dec 2012.  The school will be closed on these public holidays and no classes or activities will be held.  Only private lessons will be rescheduled.

General and Combination Spanish Courses in Buenos Aires

These courses are designed for those who wish to learn communicative Spanish skills, ideal for use in everyday life, and consist of grammar instruction and conversation class.  For those with specific language needs, they may wish to choose the combination option.  Discounted rates for long term courses are available for 5+ weeks; please contact us for more details.  Course fees include two placement tests (grammar test online before arrival + speaking test on first day at school), course materials and certificate.

Individual Spanish Course in Buenos Aires

One-to-one tuition is ideal for those who would like intensive learning or those who wish to focus on specific topics as lesson content can be tailored to an individual's needs.

Spanish + Tango in Buenos Aires

This course is for those who wish to complement their Spanish studies with some Tango lessons, whilst in the world capital of this elegant dance.  Tango is taught by talented instructors in a beautiful dance school.

Accommodation for Spanish Language School in Buenos Aires

Rooms are available in local homestays and shared apartments, all year round.  Accommodation is maximum 45 minutes from the school and runs from Sunday to Saturday (1 week = 6 nights).  Bed linen and towels are included. 

Homestay

This type of accommodation is perfect for those who wish to be fully immersed in everyday porteño life.  Shared bathroom.

Buenos Aires: SPANISH AND TANGO SCHOOL

Buenos Aires is the place to learn the history and capture the mysterious elegance of Tango.  With traditional cafes and sophisticated milongas to entice you into long nights of dancing as well as other excellent venues to practise what you have learned, this is a true insight into one of the world's most famous dances. 

Our Spanish and Tango School is located in the Boedo neighbourhood, well known for its connection to Tango.  Located just minutes from the city centre, it is well connected by the underground and buses.
