Spanish in Cusco, Peru
Peru, the third largest country in South America, offers an amazing range of activities and places to visit. Culturally and geographically, Peru is one of the most diverse countries in South America due to its three distinct regions. From beautiful old colonial towns to ancient Inca ruins, the Andean mountains, Amazonian rainforest (which occupies more than 50% of the country's territory), to impressive coastal nature reserves, Peru has something for everyone.
Peruvian Spanish is very easy to understand, and our school in Cusco offers excellent value for money. It's easy to understand why Peru is one of the favourite South American destinations for our students.
Cusco is a lively city with a large range of cafés, bars and restaurants and is well connected by road and air to other parts of Peru. The Inca world was once governed from here and there are extensive Inca ruins within easy reach of the city including Machu Picchu. Although tourism is undoubtedly important, Cusco is also a significant market town in the region and there are colourful markets selling local produce all year round.
Our school is located in a beautiful 19th century colonial home on one of the many small plazas close to the main square, Plaza de Armas. Our school has many classrooms decorated with typical Peruvian "artesania" and is fully equipped with multimedia facilities and wireless internet access for its students.

Cultural activities and excursions: 2 activities/excursions are offered per week to help students discover the city and local culture.
Arrival transfer: for students arriving at Cusco Airport we can arrange for you to be met by your homestay host or a representative from the school and taken to your accommodation. This service costs £20.
Accommodation is available in local homestays.
Public holidays: the school will be closed on the following days 1 Jan, 2 Apr, 1 May, 3/24 Jun, 28 Jul, 30 Aug, 8 Oct, 1 Nov, 8/25/31 Dec 2010 and no lessons will be held.
General and Combination Spanish Courses
A variety of group and private Spanish lessons are available. Lessons run from Monday to Friday and each lesson is 55 minutes.
Prices include single room homestay accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner). Perfect for those who want to be fully immersed in everyday Peruvian life.

Spanish + Culture Course
This is the perfect course for those who would like to combine their Spanish lessons with afternoon activities/excursions to help you discover the real Cusco. The programme of activities varies throughout the year but will usually include visits to museums, cathedrals, markets etc. All transport and entrance fees are included for you and your teacher or guide.
