Spanish in Granada, Spain
Located in the eastern part of Andalucía (Southern Spain), at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and only 100 km from the Mediterranean Sea, Granada is one of eight regional capitals of Andalusia. This former stronghold of Moorish Spain has a population of nearly 350,000 and is full of romance and folklore. The Alhambra palace is a must-see; set against the stunning Sierra Nevada and surrounded by cypress and elms, it's an escape into the city's Moorish past. Granada is also a popular university town with more than 70,000 students a year making Granada a very lively city.
Our school is located in the Albaicin, the atmospheric ancient Arab sector of the city, facing the Alhambra. The most valuable aspect of the Albaicin is that it still maintains its customs and traditional atmosphere as well as offering the beauty of its many narrow streets, spectacular views, flea markets, and Arab quarter. The school is housed in a "Carmen de los Gatos", an independent house in its own walled setting, with a garden and fruit trees. There are seven fully equipped classrooms with multimedia facilities and a library. Other services exclusively available to students are internet and e-mail access, telephone, kitchen and a plunge pool in the summer.

Cultural activities and excursions are offered throughout the year, varying from week to week and according to the season. Many activities are free of charge or have a small fee payable at the school e.g. Spanish movies, museums visits, Flamenco lessons, evening outings to tapas bars etc. Weekend excursions are also offered and should be paid for at the school.
Accommodation is available in homestays and shared or private apartments, all year round. Hotels accommodation is also available on request.
Transfers: airport pick up/drop off costs £55 one way (Granada airport)
Public holidays: The school will close on the following public holidays: 6 Jan, 2 Apr, 3 June, 25 Dec 2010 and no classes will be held on these days.

Spanish + Skiing
The Sierra Nevada mountain range is a fantastic location for both amateur and advanced skiiers. This course starts off with one week of Spanish lessons, followed by a week of skiing on the fabulous slopes the Sierra Nevada.

Teacher Refresher course
This course is designed for teachers with an advanced level, who would like to refresh their Spanish teaching skills and classroom strategy. The teacher's refresher course is a combination of a general Spanish course and a mini course which focuses on teacher refresher topics.

- Course duration: 2 weeks
- Lessons per week: 20 general Spanish + 10 teacher refresher, per week
- Minimum level: advanced
