Spanish and dance in Havana, Cuba
Cuba's capital is undoubtedly the finest city in the Caribbean, with the famous seafront promenade (El Malecon), the Prado running from the sea to Parque Central, the Plaza Vieja and the streets around the cathedral. Colourful artisan markets selling handcrafts and clothes and second-hand bookstalls are dotted around the city and there are beautiful beaches to the east of the city (Playas del Este) within 20 minutes of the city centre by car or the regular daily bus from the city centre.
Our school is housed in a large house with a garden in Miramar, an upmarket residential area of the city just 20 minutes from historic Old Havana. The school has 6 classrooms, some of which have air-conditioning and the others with large electric fans. If there is nobody else booked at your level of Spanish for the dates of your course, you will receive 20 individual lessons instead of group tuition. As there is no cafe at the school nor any shops close by, you should bring drinking water and any snacks with you.
Courses start on any Monday, all year round.

- Minimum age: 18 years (unless accompanied by an adult)
- Minimum course duration: 1 week
- Course books included but you should bring your own paper and pens
- Maximim class size is 8 students
Public holidays: there will be no classes on 1 May, 26/27 July, 10 Oct and from 24 Dec 2010 to 10 Jan 2011

Spanish + Cuban dance/percussion in Havana
Add a Cuban Salsa, Reggaeton or percussion course to your morning Spanish course. All dance and percussion lessons take place in the afternoon (2 lessons per day, Monday to Friday).
Dance classes are with teachers from La Habana Dance Academy and may focus on a mix of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Rumba or Son.
Percussion classes will focus on Congo drumming technique and basic Cuban rhythms with teachers graduated from the Havana School of Arts.

Homestay accommodation in Havana
Accommodation with local host families, close to the school is available but limited (room only, meals to be arranged direct with host).
Rooms are provided from the Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday morning after the course has finished (one week = 6 nights, 2 weeks = 13 nights, etc).
