Madrid is a modern, cosmopolitan city with many of the country's most important museums and historic monuments including the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia arts centre and gallery and the Palacio Real. The city boasts majestic tree-lined avenues, impressive architecture, large parks and an exciting nightlife with clubs catering for all tastes from jazz to salsa. Madrid is also famous for its cuisine and sampling delicious raciones in local tapas bars is one of the highlights of any visit. Within easy travelling distance are the smaller cities of Toledo and Segovia, mountains for skiing and hiking, and lakes for summer outings.
Our school is located in a fully renovated 150 year old building in the heart of the city just 3 minutes from the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace. With 12 classrooms, a video room, internet access and a library, the school offers modern learning facilities and small teaching groups for all levels.
Minimum age is 16 years
Courses: We offer a wide range of Spanish courses in Madrid. Click on one of the options below for 2010 dates and prices.
Cultural activities and excursions are offered to help students discover the city and local culture e.g. museum visits, city tours. Larger excursions may be offered with a small charge payable at the school.
Accommodation is available in local homestays and shared apartments, all year round. Hotels and studio apartments available on request.
Transfers: airport pick up/ drop off costs £60 one way (Barajas airport)
Public holidays: The school is closed on the 1/6 Jan, 19 Mar, 1/2 Apr, 3 May, 16 Aug, 12 Oct, 1 Nov, 6/8 Dec 2010 and no classes will be held on these days. If you are attending the school for a minimum of 2 weeks, missed lessons will be rescheduled.

Spanish + Cookery
This course is an ideal supplementary course for those taking Spanish lessons and who are also interested in the local cuisine. Students will learn how to prepare traditional Spanish dishes such as paella and gazpacho.

- Spanish lessons per week: 20 group
- Cookery lessons per week: 2 x 1.5 hours
- Minimum level: suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced
