Spanish in Quito, Ecuador
Ecuador has a thriving indigenous culture and is a relatively small country with just 12 million inhabitants. It has some of the most varied geography in South America with four main regions: the Andean highlands, the coastal tropical plains, the Amazon basin and the Galapagos Islands, 600 miles off the Pacific Coast. Ecuador is a country of big contrasts, with extreme ranges of climate and geography resulting in a huge variety of animal and plant life.
Ecuadorian Spanish is very easy to understand.
Quito is the capital of Ecuador and is a lively city lying at 2,850 metres above sea level. It has an exciting nightlife and there is also a colourful street culture with markets selling traditional artifacts and clothes.
Our school is located in a beautifully converted former ambassodor's house surrounded by gardens in a quiet residential area of the city. It has a solarium, a multipurpose indoor court, student common room, a library and 21 classrooms.
Minimum age is 18 years

Cultural activities and excursions: 2 activities/excursions are offered per week to help students discover the city and local culture.
Arrival transfer: for students arriving at Quito Airport we can arrange for you to be met by your homestay host, or a representative from the school, and taken to your accommodation. This service costs £20.
Accommodation is available in homestays.

General and Combination Spanish Courses
A variety of group and private Spanish courses are available. Lessons run from Monday to Friday and each lesson is 55 minutes.
Prices include single room homestay accommodation with half board (breakfast and dinner). Perfect for those who want to be fully immersed in everyday Ecuadorian life.

Spanish + Culture
This is the perfect course for those who would like to combine their Spanish lessons with a fun and cultural activities/excursions to discover the real Quito. The programme of activities varies throughout the year but will usually include visits to museums, cathedrals, markets, etc. All transport and entrance fees are included for you and your teacher or guide.
