If you are taking time off after school or university, or are considering a career break of a few months, a language course is a wonderful way to spend time in another country and meet new people.

We arrange courses from 1 week to 12 months, in Europe and Latin America for people of all ages. Some people prefer to concentrate their studies in one location, taking for example a 3 month Italian and Culture course in Florence, whilst others may study in two or more places such as French in Paris and Nice. Or you may like to split your language learning between two countries, perhaps starting with a Spanish course in Spain and then continuing in Mexico? Or combine your language course with an activity such as salsa dancing and trekking in Cuba.

You can start a course as an absolute beginner or to improve existing language skills. Over the weeks you will find that your confidence in speaking soars, your ear becomes adapted to hearing the language around you on a daily basis and your level improves more quickly than you imagined possible!

TESTIMONIAL

"I was in a rut. Working Monday to Friday, frustrated with my job and life in general. I knew that another holiday or a new job was not the solution … I needed a complete change."

"Luckily my company offered me a year off to travel, but where to start? My friend and I decided we needed a theme. We chose Spanish and Salsa and planned to visit Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica and Argentina."

"The trip surpassed all my expectations. It was FANTASTIC!!!! Highlights? In Mexico I qualified to teach English as a second language; I spent an amazing two weeks in Cuba where the music and dancing were second-to-none; and later I used my CELTA qualification to teach English in Spain. Along the way, I went from being able to order ‘dos cervezas’ to be being able to hold a pretty decent conversation in Spanish. But it was the people that we met along the way that made the trip - both fellow-travellers and locals. I made some good friends and met interesting people from all walks of life."

"My career break has given me new skills, different priorities and I have re-assessed how I really want to spend my life. I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m travelling again and I’m looking forward to my next adventure!"
