Fiona and a group of her friends from Edinburgh wanted to celebrate her birthday Cuban style, so they started off by touring the island from Havana to Las Terrazas, then Santiago to Guardelavaca, staying in 3-4 star accommodation all the way with dance lessons, cultural visits and plenty of nights out to local live music venues with our local guide. We arranged an itinerary which allowed this group of seven to have plenty of free time to explore and do their own thing.
Annie and Nikki from Aberdeenshire wanted to combine their love of the outdoors with some salsa in Cuba, so we organised dance lessons with private tutors from Cutumba, one of Cuba’s most famous dance companies, trekking in the Sierra Maestra mountains and some hiking and kayaking in Baracoa. The last couple of days were spent in a romantic hotel in the heart of Old Havana.
Emilie and Duncan from Colchester wanted a relaxing but varied Cuban trip, and their honeymoon started with a few days chilling out on a beautiful secluded beach on an island east of Holguin, followed by a few days in the small provincial town of Baracoa where they explored the lush tropical Humboldt national park. Then on to Santiago de Cuba where they had some salsa and Spanish classes and guided visits to places such as the picturesque El Morro castle overlooking the Sierra Maestra mountains, with three days to round it all up in the heart of Old Havana in an art deco hotel.
